English-Medium Instruction, Dual Degree, Field Training, and International Exchange.. Preparing Students to Work in the Hospitality and Tourism Sector According to International Standards
The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University announces the upcoming opening of applications and admissions for the Bachelor's Program in International Hotel Management and the MBA Program in International Hotel Management, in partnership with Vatel International Hospitality and Tourism Business School.
Vatel is an international institution specialized in hotel and tourism management, recognized as one of the world's leading institutions in this field. It was founded in 1981 in Paris, France, and now comprises more than 50 campuses across approximately 30 countries throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
This comes within the framework of Fayoum University's orientation toward the internationalization of higher education and the strengthening of international academic partnerships, in line with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research 2030, and its emphasis on adopting international benchmarks, developing the higher education system, and linking its outcomes to labor market needs, in alignment with Egypt's Vision 2030 for human capital development and preparing individuals for the local and international labor market.
The program's launch takes place under the patronage of Dr. Sherif El-Attar, Acting President of Fayoum University, the supervision of Prof. Nancy Mohamed Fawzy, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, the follow-up of Prof. Taher Hassan Mohamed, Acting Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and the coordination of Dr. Ahmed Ghaith.
The programs offer an educational pathway combining academic study with specialized practical training in international hotel management, enabling students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the hospitality sector, in addition to benefiting from the educational and training expertise provided through the partnership with Vatel of France.
The programs allow students to earn a dual degree, comprising a degree from Fayoum University alongside an international certificate from Vatel, the French institution specialized in international hotel and hospitality management education.
The programs are taught entirely in English, contributing to the development of students' language and professional skills, preparing them to engage with the international work environment in tourism and hospitality, and strengthening their competitiveness in various labor markets.
The programs also include intensive field training at five-star hotels and resorts, linking academic study with practical application, providing students with direct experience in the hotel work environment, and helping them develop the professional and managerial skills related to their specialization.
The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels is expected to announce all details regarding dates, conditions, and application and admission procedures for the programs in the coming period.
The partnership between Fayoum University and Vatel comes within the framework of the university's efforts to expand the scope of international academic cooperation, and to offer educational programs grounded in international benchmarks, combining academic study, practical training, and international exchange, thereby supporting the preparation of graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the tourism and hospitality sector both locally and internationally.
