Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif El-Attar, Acting President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nancy Mohamed Fawzy, Dean of the Faculty, and with the coordination of Prof. Dr. Mervat Abdel-Hady, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, a seminar was held entitled “Sustainable Tourism and Its Role in the Development of Fayoum”.

The seminar was delivered by Prof. Dr. Mostafa Mahmoud, Professor in the Tourism Studies Department, and Dr. Moataz Abdel-Fattah, Director General of the General Administration of Tourism at the Governorate General Office.

The seminar saw strong student engagement, reflecting the students’ keen interest in sustainable development issues.

This seminar comes within the Faculty’s commitment to raising its students’ awareness of sustainable tourism development issues and their role in developing local communities.
