The Cultural
Affairs and Missions Sector announces:
Grants for
collecting research material for doctoral dissertations, each for a period of
one year,
and scientific
missions for conducting postdoctoral research for a period of five months.
These grants are
offered by the Czech Republic in the fields of:
)Engineering – Basic Sciences – Theoretical and
Applied Physics – Czech Language and Literature(
Application
Requirements:
First: For
collecting research material for doctoral dissertations:
• The applicant must be an Egyptian citizen and a
teaching assistant at an Egyptian public university, institute, research
center, or other relevant institution.
• The applicant must not be older than 35 years
of age on the date of the announcement.
• The applicant must hold the position of
Assistant Lecturer, Assistant Researcher, or equivalent at an Egyptian
university or research center included in the missions plan.
• The applicant must have at least two years of
service at their current institution.
• The applicant must not have been registered for
a doctoral program in Egypt for more than three years (at the time of
application).
• Must possess an IELTS score of 5.5 or a TOEFL
score of 80.
Second: For
Scientific Missions
• The candidate must be an Egyptian citizen and a
member of the teaching staff at an Egyptian public university, institute,
research center, or other relevant institution.
• The age limit is 40 years for lecturers, 50
years for associate professors, and 55 years for professors, as of the
application deadline.
• The applicant must hold the position of
lecturer, associate professor, professor, or equivalent at an Egyptian
university or research center included in the scholarship program.
• Must possess an IELTS score of 5.5 or a TOEFL
score of 80.
Scholarship Value:
• The scholarship program will cover (where no
other entity covers it) the remaining value of the scholarship provided by the
Czech side, according to the executive agreement between the two parties, to
equal the stipend of a single scholarship recipient, in addition to round-trip
airfare. This is in accordance with the financial regulations for scholarships.
Required
Documents:
• A data form in Arabic, certified by the
employer (showing the date of appointment and specialization).
• A nomination letter from the employer.
• A letter from the
employer stating that the applicant has not been nominated for any other
scholarship or fellowship, and that they have not received any other
scholarship or research assignment. The letter should also confirm that
security clearance forms have been submitted to the relevant authorities for
travel approval.
• Two certified
copies of the research plan in Arabic and English.
• Original and a certified copy in English of the
(Bachelor's degree certificate, academic transcript, and Master's degree
certificate) for candidates nominated to collect research material.
• Original and a certified copy in English of the
PhD certificate for candidates nominated for research assignments.
• Three passport-size photos and two copies of a
passport valid for at least three years.
