Under
the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University,
Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs,
inaugurated the "Crafts and Ornamentation" art exhibition organized
by the Faculty of Specific Education for third-year students in the Art
Education Department. The inauguration was attended by Prof. Hany Abdel-Badea,
Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Ahmed Fathy, Former Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Ghada
Youssef, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Ahmed Abed, Associate
Professor in the Art Education Department and supervisor of the exhibition; Dr.
Israa Ali, Lecturer in the Department; Mr. Ahmed Kleib, Director of the
Faculty; and a number of faculty members, teaching assistants, and students.
The event took place on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the Faculty.
Prof.
Sherif El-Attar expressed his admiration for the artistic vision presented in
the exhibition, praising the students' ideas in creating artworks that express
the richness of Islamic art and civilization.
Prof.
Hany Abdel-Badea said the exhibition reflects the students' skill in
integrating academic courses and transforming them into tangible, creative
outputs that highlight the richness of Islamic heritage.
Dr.
Ahmed Abed pointed out that the exhibition's concept is based on showcasing the
aesthetics of Islamic art by employing its fundamental elements, such as Arabic
calligraphy and Islamic motifs, in the production of artworks.
Dr.
Israa Ali added that the exhibition includes 45 paintings submitted by
third-year design students. The students drew inspiration from Arabic
calligraphy and Islamic art, which imbues the paintings with rich detail. She
praised the students' skill in using gouache paints, colored pencils, and
cardboard to create integrated artworks that embody harmony between form and
content, reflecting the depth of the idea and the beauty of its execution.
