Under
the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Fayoum, and Prof. Yasser
Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, and under the supervision of Prof.
Assem El-Essawy, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental
Development, the General Administration for Community Service and Environmental
Development organized a veterinary caravan in Khalifa Younis village, Tamia center,
under the supervision of Mr. Abdel Nasser Bakry, Director General of the Community
Service and Environmental Development Sector, in cooperation with the Fayoum
Veterinary Directorate, the Veterinary Syndicate, and the Food Inspection and
Control Department of the General Administration of University dormitories, on
Monday, January 19, 2026.
A
complete medical team of veterinarians, along with a number of specialists,
participated in the veterinary caravan, which is part of a series of veterinary
caravans organized by the university in several villages throughout the
governorate.
Diagnostic
and therapeutic services were provided free of charge by examining and
providing the necessary treatment for 2,833 cases of cattle, sheep and poultry.
Veterinary examinations were conducted and treatment was dispensed for 861
internal cases (175 cows, 43 buffaloes, 643 sheep), 98 reproductive cases (65
cows, 33 buffaloes), 821 cases of deworming, and 1,053 poultry. In addition,
health guidance and awareness were provided to breeders on proper care and
prevention of common animal diseases.
