Prof.
Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, attended the university's
annual Iftar, organized by the General Administration for Student Welfare in
cooperation with the university dormitories, under the supervision of Pro. Sherif
El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. Also present were
Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental
Development, Mr. Ahmed Rashad, Secretary General of the University, and a number
of deans, vice deans, directors general, staff, and students from Fayoum
University and Fayoum National University. The event took place on Tuesday,
March 10, 2026, on the university campus.
Prof.
Hatata explained that the university administration is keen to organize this
annual Iftar to foster communication among staff and students. He praised the
excellent organization of the event and encouraged students to work hard,
persevere in their studies, and make the most of their time.
Prof.
El-Essawy emphasized that the Iftar meal underscores the unity and harmony of
the Fayoum University community. He also noted that the atmosphere of Ramadan
is rich with spiritual and religious significance. Prof. Sherif El-Attar noted
that preparations for the Iftar banquet were exceptional this year, explaining
that 600 students from Fayoum University and Fayoum National University
participated.
The
Iftar banquet included a number of cultural and religious activities and
competitions for the students, and prizes were awarded to the winners.
