Prof. Dr. Taher Hassan Mohamed, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University and Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, together with the entire Faculty family, extends sincerest congratulations and warmest wishes to Prof. Dr. Wahid Omran, Professor at the Department of Tourism Guidance, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University, on the occasion of his participation in the scientific committee formed by the Egyptian Ministry of Environment to prepare the file for the renewal of the "Wadi El-Hitan" nature reserve's listing on the Green List of Protected Areas of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), which was successfully renewed until 2031.

His contribution involved the preparation and drafting of the "Cultural Value" component of the reserve's file, reflecting the area's rich heritage and civilizational significance in accordance with international standards for sustainable management and natural resource conservation.

The renewal of "Wadi El-Hitan's" listing on the IUCN Green List represents a distinguished international achievement that reflects Egypt's efforts in preserving its natural reserves, and affirms the pivotal role of Egyptian academic expertise in supporting environmental and tourism files of global significance.
