Meeting of the Council of the Research and Strategic Studies Institute for Nile Basin Countries

Fayoum University - August 2026 SessionThe Institute Council convened on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, chaired by Prof. Dr. Nasser Abdel Sattar Abdelhady - Dean of the Institute, with the membership of Dr. Eman El-Hamamsy - Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the honorable members of the Council.His Excellency opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees, then proceeded to the agenda.

The Council discussed a number of organizational and academic matters, most notably:Approval of the formation of the Editorial Board of the Institute’s scientific journal "Research and Strategic Studies Journal for Nile Basin Countries".Approval of the formation of the Programs Committee for the academic year 2026/2027.Approval of the formation of the Occupational Safety and Health Committee.Graduate Studies Affairs: Preparation and organization of graduate studies at the Institute, including approval of the annual and semi-annual progress reports of PhD students registered in the Department of Economic Studies and Agricultural Development.Cultural Relations: Approval of the proposed topics related to scientific cooperation and cultural activities.Community Service and Environmental Development: Approval of the nomination of a Director for the Crises and Disasters Unit at the Institute, and the nomination of a Coordinator for the Institute at the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit at Fayoum University.At the conclusion of the session, the decisions and recommendations submitted by the relevant committees were adopted.
