Under the auspices of Prof.Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Assem Al-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, received Prof. Neddemp Calfor, Professor of Engineering at the University of Greenwich in the United Kingdom, Dr. Marwa Abdel-Azeem, Director of Education Programs, and Mr. Ibrahim Mohamed, Education Programs Officer at the British Council. The meeting was held on the sidelines of a workshop on "Occupational Safety and Health in Engineering." The meeting was attended by Prof. Ahmed Abdel-Latif, Director of the Center for Measurement and Evaluation and Professor at the Faculty of Engineering at Fayoum University, a number of faculty members, students, and representatives of labor market institutions. The meeting was held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence. Prof. Ahmed Abdel Latif explained that the "Occupational Safety and Health in Engineering" project is a partnership between Fayoum University and the British Council. It aims to create communication channels between industry professionals, faculty members, students, and recent engineering graduates. This will contribute to the integration of graduates with the requirements of the labor market and consolidate the concept of occupational health and safety in the engineering field.
