Under
the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, and
the supervision of Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and
Student Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Hamzawy, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy,
announced the victory of the student delegation from the Faculty in the
competition and exhibition of medicinal and aromatic oils, organized by the
Pharmacognosy Department at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, with
the participation of several faculties of pharmacy from various Egyptian
universities.
The
students of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Fayoum University achieved a
distinguished victory with their project "Calmora," which won third
place for best promotional flyer. The project was supervised by Dr. Shaimaa Abdel
Gawad, Lecturer of Pharmacognosy, and accompanied by Dr. Fady Shehata. The
project is a natural anti-stress fragrance developed within an applied
framework that combines science and creativity, including a comprehensive
feasibility study, promotional designs, and samples of formulations and
essential oils. Prof. Mohamed Hamzawy praised the faculty members’ keenness to
train and guide students during the stages of preparing and implementing the
project, and the innovation and teamwork spirit they demonstrated, which
reflects the college’s orientation towards encouraging applied research and
student entrepreneurship.
