Under
the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University,
Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental
Development, and Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and
Student Affairs, inaugurated an art exhibition entitled "Green
Footprints... Color Footprints" at the Faculty of Specific Education.
The
opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Hany Abdel-Badi, Dean of the Faculty;
Prof. Ashraf El-Abbasy, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences; Prof. Ahmed
Fathy, Former Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education; Dr. Suzan Adel, Lecturer
of Drawing and Painting at the Faculty and supervisor of the exhibition; and a
number of faculty members, teaching assistants, and students. The event took
place on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the Faculty.
The
exhibition featured a variety of works created from recycled materials, aiming
to highlight how to utilize these materials, which have become a burden on the
environment, and transform them into works of art using various artistic
techniques and methods such as assemblage, collage, and installation. These
techniques were employed artistically and technically to produce innovative and
creative visions.
The
exhibition featured 60 artworks reflecting contemporary trends that combine
creativity and sustainability. The works incorporated a variety of materials,
most notably metals, scrap metal, plastics, and textile and fabric remnants.
The
university's vice presidents also inspected the graduation projects being
undertaken by fourth-year students, which included mosaic murals of varying
sizes that express the visual identity of Fayoum Governorate.
