Prof.
Sherif El-Attar, Acting President of Fayoum University and Vice President for
Education and Student Affairs, inspected the electronic registration labs at
the university's faculties. He was accompanied by Prof. Mona Soliman, Dean of
the Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Bouthaina Youssef Fouad, Dean of the Faculty
of Agriculture; Prof. Sherine Ali Tayeh, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and
Artificial Intelligence; Prof. Abdel-Aleem Mohamed Abdel-Mawla, Supervisor of
the Electronic Registration Labs; Ms. Rehab Abdel-Raouf, Director General of
the General Administration for Education and Student Affairs; and other
administrative staff. The inspection took place on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
Prof.
El-Attar stated that the electronic registration labs at Fayoum University have
opened their doors to receive first-stage applicants who have obtained their
high school diploma for admission to public universities and institutes for the
2026/2027 academic year. He emphasized the university's commitment to providing
a suitable environment for students and facilitating the registration process
for their university preferences with ease.

El-Attar explained that the online university admissions process for the first
phase will take place from Wednesday, August 5th to Sunday, August 9th,
2026, at the computer labs in the Faculties of Engineering, Agriculture,
Computers and Artificial Intelligence, and Science.
During
his inspection tour, Prof. El-Attar visited the computer labs designated for
the online admissions process to ensure the readiness of the computers,
networks, and internet services, as well as the availability of technical and
administrative support teams. He emphasized the importance of providing maximum
assistance to students and answering their inquiries to ensure the successful
completion of the application process.
It is
worth noting that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
announced the start of the first phase of university admissions for high school
graduates (both the old and new systems) from Wednesday, August 5th to
Sunday, August 9th, 2026, according to the announced minimum scores
for each academic track. The Ministry stressed the importance of students
adhering to the specified timeframe for registering their preferences through
the online admissions portal and following the rules and regulations governing
the admissions process.
