In the
presence of Prof. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education and
Scientific Research, and Prof. Sherif Mohamed Sabry El-Attar, Acting President
of Fayoum University and Vice President for Education and Student Affairs,
Fayoum University students won three top prizes at the Egyptian Universities
level during the second season of the "Tarab" Festival, organized by
the Leadership Development Institute in Helwan and hosted by Suez University
from August 27 to 30, 2026.
Prof.
Sherif Mohamed Sabry El-Attar extended his sincere thanks and congratulations
to the winning students and the Fayoum University Choir, under the direction of
Maestro Wael Hamdy, the choir's coach and conductor, and Ms. Iman Naseeb, the
choir's supervisor.
Fayoum
University's participation resulted in three distinguished awards at the
Egyptian Universities level:
Student
Mark Amjad – Faculty of Engineering
First
place at the Egyptian Universities level in solo singing.
Student
Mariam Hany Abdel Badea – Faculty of Specific Education – Best Solo
Instrumentalist Award at the Egyptian Universities level.
Student
Sama Abdel-Tawab El-Sayed – Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – won third place in
solo singing at the Egyptian university level.
The
Fayoum University Choir also delivered an outstanding performance, showcasing
the university's wealth of promising student talent, artistic abilities, and
exceptional team spirit, enabling them to compete at various events.
