Prof. Sherif Mohamed Sabry El-Attar, Acting President of Fayoum
University, announced that the Faculty of Social Work has received
accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and
Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE). This marks a significant milestone for the
university, as the Faculty of Social Work becomes the ninth faculty to be
accredited. Previously, accreditation was granted to the faculties of Tourism
and Hotels, Archaeology, Education, Early Childhood Education, Computers and
Artificial Intelligence, Agriculture, Science, and Medicine, in addition to the
accredited English Language program within the Faculty of Arts.
He noted that the university, as an educational institution, strives to
enhance the educational services provided to students. To this end, it seeks
accreditation from NAQAAE for all its educational programs across its various
faculties and institutes.
Prof. Salah Hashem, Dean of the Faculty of Social Work, added that its
accreditation by NAQAAE, the faculty has become the second in the social work
sector to achieve this status—following the Faculty of Social Work at the
Capital University. The faculty secured institutional accreditation after
meeting all standards regarding institutional capacity, educational
effectiveness, facilities, and the quality of education provided. This
accreditation validates the graduates' degrees, thereby enabling them to work
both domestically and internationally.
He further stated that the faculty plans to apply for program-level
accreditation in the near future. Prof. Tamer Fahim, Director of the
University’s Quality Assurance Center, noted that the accreditation of the
Faculty of Social Work followed productive technical support visits. He added
that applications are currently being processed for the accreditation of the
faculties of Dar Al-Ulum, Dentistry, Nursing, Arts, and Engineering by the National
Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.
