The Council of the Institute of Research and Strategic Studies for Nile Basin Countries met today, Sunday, February 15, 2026, chaired by Prof. Dr. Nasser Abdel-Sattar Abdel-Hadi, Dean of the Institute and Acting Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, Research, and Cultural Relations, and with the presence of distinguished council members. He began with a welcoming speech, then moved to the agenda. The council discussed several organizational matters, including approving the formation of the Editorial Board of the Institute's scientific journal (Journal of Research and Strategic Studies for Nile Basin Countries), and topics from the Graduate Studies Committee, which included considering the cancellation of registration for 12 students enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma stage due to exhausting failing attempts, adding scientific theses from some students to the Institute's library, and approving topics related to the Cultural Relations, Libraries, Community Service, Environmental Development, and Laboratories Committees.
