Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Taher Hassan Mohamed, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels – Fayoum University and Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Walid El-Hadi Sheikh El-Arab, Head of the Department of Tourism Guidance, the Department's students embarked on an enriching scientific field training trip to Upper Egypt, where academic curricula come to life amid the walls of ancient temples and the birthplace of civilization.
Days One and Two – Aswan: The tour commenced with visits to the High Dam and the Friendship Monument, followed by a river excursion to Kalabsha Temple and Beit El-Wali Temple. The first two days concluded with a visit to the twin temples of Ramesses II and Nefertari at Abu Simbel, 280 km south of Aswan, where students engaged in a live guided experience at one of the world's most iconic architectural landmarks.
Day Three – Art, Engineering and Nature: The program included a visit to the Philae Temple complex and a study of the cult of goddess Isis, followed by an exploration of the Unfinished Obelisk to understand the art of ancient Egyptian sculpture and engineering. Students also conducted an applied study at Qubbet el-Hawa, examining private tombs from the Old and Middle Kingdom periods, before concluding with a visit to Kitchener's Island.
Day Four – En Route to Luxor: The convoy proceeded towards Luxor with stops at key historical sites along the way, including Kom Ombo Temple, with a study of its unique architectural features, and Edfu Temple, one of the best-preserved temples in the world.

This field trip was designed to consolidate students' tourism guidance skills and train them in professional on-site performance before archaeological monuments, preparing them with confidence and distinction for the tourism labor market.
