Under the patronage of Prof. Nancy Mohamed Fawzy, Dean of the Faculty and Acting Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, a seminar was held today, Monday, August 17, 2026, for the researcher Asmaa Abu Bakr Abbas, a master's degree candidate at the Department of Tourism Studies, entitled:
"The Impact of Epidemics and Diseases on Tourist Consumer Decision-Making"
The seminar committee was composed of:
- Prof. Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Professor at the Department of Hotel Studies (Supervisor).
- Prof. Hanaa Abdel Qader Sayed, Professor at the Department of Tourism Studies (Discussant).
- Prof. Marwa Salah, Professor at the Department of Tourism Studies (Supervisor).
- Assistant Professor Nermeen Wasfy, Assistant Professor at the Department of Tourism Studies (Supervisor).
- Dr. Paula Hanna, Lecturer at the Department of Tourism Studies (Discussant).
Those present commended the researcher's scholarly level and the seriousness of the topic addressed, within the framework of the Faculty's commitment to supporting postgraduate students' research and encouraging them to address contemporary issues that serve the tourism sector.
