Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Nancy Mohamed Fawzy, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mervat Abdel-Hady, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Fayoum University hosted an awareness seminar entitled “Tour Guiding Protocols: Skills for Dealing with Tourists and Managing Labor Market Challenges”.
The seminar was delivered by Mr. Ahmed Nour El-Din, former Head of the Tour Guides’ Syndicate Sub-Branch in Giza and Upper Egypt North, as part of the Faculty’s ongoing educational activities and its commitment to refining students’ field and professional skills.
The seminar addressed the mechanisms and protocols through which an effective tour guide deals with tourists, ways of integrating and resolving the professional and field-related problems that guides may encounter, in addition to highlighting the most in-demand languages in today’s tourism job market.
The seminar saw distinguished participation from students of the Faculty’s “For Egypt” (Min Agl Masr) Family, in the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marwa El-Omda, Associate Professor in the Tourism Studies Department, and in coordination with the Youth Care Office, along with wide attendance from the Faculty’s students and students of the Tour Guidance Department.
The seminar also featured open discussions that reflected the awareness and cultural level of university students regarding modern developments, as they enriched the session with their distinguished questions and contributions.
The Faculty extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to the lecturer and to all participating students for their honorable representation.
