The Hungarian
Academy of Sciences (MTA) announces
the opening of
applications for the second cycle of the Momentum MSCA Premium Postdoctoral
Fellowship.
This prestigious
research fellowship program supports postdoctoral researchers from around the
world to join research groups within the Lendület (Momentum) program in Hungary.
This initiative
falls under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions program of Horizon Europe's
research and innovation program.
The program aims
to foster international scientific excellence and enhance research capabilities
by providing fellowship opportunities that include independent research
projects, intensive professional development, and support for international
mobility between leading research institutions. It also includes a mandatory
international posting within the fellowship structure, opening up broad avenues
for collaboration between different research institutions in Europe and beyond.
The Academy
explained that the second cycle of the Momentum MSCA program will run until
January 31, 2026, and will support the selection of 16 to 18 outstanding
fellows.
The fellowship
program will commence in September, October, or November 2026 and will last up
to 36 months to ensure maximum research and professional development for the
recipients.
The Momentum MSCA
program is a five-year initiative (2025–2029) funded by the European Commission
in cooperation with the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
It aims to
attract research talent from around the world to work in a dynamic research
environment within the Academy’s Lendület Groups.
This will enhance
the program’s scientific and research impact at the regional and international
levels.
Successful
