The Egyptian
National Commission for UNESCO
announces
the opening of
applications for the UNESCO/People's Republic of China Great Wall Fellowship
Programme for the 2026–2027 academic year.
The programme
aims to support human development in developing countries, promote academic and
cultural exchange, and foster international cooperation in the fields of
education, culture, communication, science, and technology, thereby
contributing to strengthening ties of friendship among the peoples of the world.
Program Benefits
75 scholarships are
available at a number of Chinese universities.
The scholarships
cover Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programs, as well as supervised
individual research.
27
new opportunities are available
for candidates from 135 developing countries in Africa, Asia, the Pacific,
Latin America, Europe, and the Arab region.
Duration of Study:
Master's and
Doctoral programs: Two to five years.
Visiting
Researchers: One year.
General
Requirements
Meeting the
eligibility requirements related to age, academic qualifications, and language
proficiency.
Some programs are
taught in English or Chinese. For programs offered in Chinese, a suitable level
of language proficiency is required.
The program
encourages women and candidates from African countries and small island
developing states to apply, in support of the principles of equal opportunity
and gender equality.
